  • The RF MGS Index moved a further 0.07% higher to an almost 16-week high of 1,089.967 points as the benchmark eurozone 10-year yield remained under pressure following the European Central Bank’s (ECB) monetary policy meeting concluded yesterday. After the meeting, the ECB President Mr Mario Draghi explained that recent data has been weaker than expected and in turn the expectations for gross domestic product (GDP) growth in 2018, 2019 and 2020 have been revised lower. Inflation projections have been broadly maintained (with the exception of minimal changes for 2018 and 2019) but Mr Draghi warned that downside risks for the euro area are increasing. Furthermore, data published this morning related to the manufacturing and services sectors of Europe failed to meet expectations.
