MIA announced that Nuance Group Malta, which already operates outlets in the Departures as well as Arrivals Halls, will increase its presence at MIA with a new retail outlet covering 670m2 as from December 2008.
MIA stated that it successful concluded an agreement with Nuance Group Malta whereby Nuance are guaranteeing a minimum revenue of €25.5 million to MIA for a 6-year period commencing in December 2008.
Nuance Group Malta is a joint venture between The Nuance Group (52%) and its Maltese partners Airport Investments Ltd (24%) and M Demajo Holdings (24%). Swiss-based Nuance Group is the global market leader in the travel retail industry, operating 320 shops across 58 airports worldwide.
