International Hotel Investments plc - Update on Corinthia Hotel & Residences London

On 20 January International Hotel Investments plc announced that the luxury 5-star Corinthia Hotel London has started to accept bookings for reservations as of April 2011. The IHI Group explained that the Corinthia Hotel London is the result of a thorough refurbishment of two landmark adjoining properties (the Metropole Hotel Building and 10 Whitehall Place) acquired for £130 million by a consortium led by IHI from The Crown Estate in April 2008.

The consortium is made up of IHI and LFICO which each have a 50% shareholding in the property development. On completion, the management of the five-star hotel operation will be entrusted to IHI’s 70% owned subsidiary, CHI Limited to operate the property under the Corinthia brand.

The hotel will have 294 bedrooms and suites and its adjoining building will feature a spa which will be managed by ESPA and 12 residential apartments.
