Simonds Farsons Cisk plc - Beer Packaging Facility

On 21 February, Simonds Farsons Cisk plc announced that its Board of Directors approved the investment of €27 million in a new beer packaging facility. Construction will start in April 2014 and is expected to be completed within two years. The new facility will be able to package beer in both glass bottles and cans whilst also providing storage for all related raw and packaging material.

The new premises is expected to ensure  that the Group’s beer packaging facilities remain competitive in today’s market place to meet both the preference of local consumers as well as the expectations of export markets. The facility is anticipated to result in improved quality and productivity whilst also improving efficiency through automation and lower energy and water consumption.
