Following last week's article detailing the performance of the S&P 500 index in 2025, it is worth devoting time to review the developments across the European equity markers in my last article of the year.

On 24 June 2026, Eden Finance plc published an updated Financial Analysis Summary. The following are the main highlights of the expected financial performance and position of Eden Leisure Group Limited (the Guarantor) in 2026:

  • Revenues are expected to increase by 15.3% to a record of €64.6 million from €56.1 million last year, driven by higher income from both the hospitality segment (+14.3% to €45.4 million) and the entertainment and leisure segment (+6.5% to €15.5 million). The performance of the hospitality division is expected to be boosted by the twelve-month contribution of Voco Malta, improved occupancy at InterContinental Malta and around 7% growth at Holiday Inn Express Malta, with the new Staybridge Suites also contributing. On the other hand, entertainment and leisure segment will benefit from the refurbishment at Cynergi, a steady film schedule and recovery in media operations.
  • EBITDA is also forecasted to rise by 38.9% to €17.0 million (FY2025: €12.2 million). In the context of a sharper growth in revenue than operating expenses, the EBITDA margin is anticipated to improve to 26.2% compared to 21.8% last year. Notably, the hospitality and leisure segments are projected to have segmental EBITDA margins of 28.0% and 3.5% respectively.
  • Net finance costs are anticipated to be 12.8% higher at €3.42 million compared to €3.03 million last year. Nonetheless, the increase in finance cost is anticipated to be outweighed by the higher EBITDA and as such the interest cover is expected to improve to 5.0 times compared to 4.0 times last year.
  • Total debt is projected to increase by 8.5% to €82.4 million due to higher bank borrowings. Considering an expected cash balance of €16.4 million, net debt is forecasted to decline by 6.2% to €66.0 million (2025: net debt €70.4 million). Meanwhile, the gearing ratio (calculated as total debt divided by total debt plus equity) is anticipated to rise to 29.2% compared to 27.8% as at the end of 2025.
  • The net debt-to-EBITDA multiple is expected to strengthen to 3.9 times compared to 5.8 times as at the end of 2025.
