GAP Group plc- Updated Financial Analysis Summary
Following last week's article detailing the performance of the S&P 500 index in 2025, it is worth devoting time to review the developments across the European equity markers in my last article of the year.
On 26 June 2026, Gap Group plc published an updated Financial Analysis Summary. The following are the main highlights of the expected financial performance and financial position of Gap Group plc in 2026:
- Revenue is expected to rise to €29.5 million (2025: €24.7 million) as the Group recognises sales from the Pier Points project at Marsascala, which is expected to account for almost 70% of forecasted income.
- GAP explained that the Pier Points project is expected to be completed by the end of 2026 and as at end-April 2026, 66 of the 89 units placed on the market were sold or subject to a promise of sale agreement.
- EBITDA is forecasted to rise by 9.1% to €9.25 million from €8.48 million last year. The EBITDA margin is expected to ease to 31% from 34% last year.
- The Group is expecting finance income to exceed its finance costs, partly reflecting the capitalisation of interest expenses incurred on ongoing development projects.
- Total assets are projected to fall by 23.2% (or €17.2 million) to €56.8 million driven by the reduction in development inventory. The total assets include an expected cash balance of €9.9 million and financial investments of €2.5 million.
- The Group is not anticipated to have any outstanding debt by the end of the year as the Group intends to redeem in full the outstanding bonds and is not expected to have any bank borrowings.
