Following last week's article detailing the performance of the S&P 500 index in 2025, it is worth devoting time to review the developments across the European equity markers in my last article of the year.

On 19 June 2026, MedservRegis plc published an updated Financial Analysis Summary. The main highlights of the projected financial performance and position of MedservRegis for the 2026 financial year are as follows:

  • Revenues are expected to decrease by 4.6% to €99.8 million compared to €104.6 million in 2025, reflecting a normalisation in activity in the Mediterranean following the Group’s record performance last year, which had been driven by the ramp-up of offshore drilling activity in Libya. The Mediterranean region is expected to remain the principal income generator from a geographical perspective, representing 52.1% of revenues in 2026. The Middle East is expected to generate 31.8% of income, with the remaining revenues are expected from Sub-Sahara & East Africa (12.0%) and South America (4.1%).
  • Despite the decline in revenue, EBITDA is forecasted to remain practically unchanged at €21.9 million. As such, the EBITDA margin is anticipated to improve slightly to 21.9% from 21.0% last year supported by continued operational efficiency and a higher-margin services mix.
  • Net finance costs are expected to drop by 18.3% to €3.79 million from €4.64 million in 2025, reflecting lower interest costs and reduced debt from the previous year. As a result, interest cover is expected to improve to 5.8 times from 4.7 times in the previous year.
  • Total debt is expected to fall by 18.3% (or €13.6 million) to €61.0 million, mainly driven by a reduction in the Group’s outstanding bonds to €35.0 million from €48.1 million as at 31 December 2025. Consequently, the company’s gearing ratio (calculated as total debt divided by total debt plus equity) is projected to ease to 49.6% compared to 56.1% as at the end of 2025.
  • Considering the expected cash balances of €23.7 million as at 31 December 2026, Medserv is anticipating a net debt position of €37.2 million, which is €13.0 million (-25.9%) less than the €50.2 million net debt in the prior year . As a result, the net debt-to-EBITDA multiple is expected to improve to 1.7 times (2025: 2.3 times).
