Investment Objective

The Malta Bond Fund aims to achieve capital growth for the investors in the Fund by the maximisation of the return on its assets and by re-investing such income. The objective shall be achieved by investing in securities denominated in Maltese Lira, such as Malta Government Stock, listed or unlisted debt securities, units in collective investment schemes, treasury bills, other money market instruments, other money market instruments and deposits with credit institutions denominated in Maltese Lira. Up to 15% of the total assets of the Fund may comprise assets denominated in assets other than the Maltese Lira. Such assets would mainly consist of interest-bearing securities rated BBB or higher as determined by Standard & Poor’s and/or an equivalent rating as determined by an equivalent rating agent.
