FIMBank plc announced on 3 December that 19,880,160 rights were taken up by shareholders during the rights issue acceptance period which closed on Friday 30 November 2007. These new shares were admitted to the Official List of the Malta Stock Exchange and trading is expecting to commence on Tuesday 4 December 2007.
Meanwhile, a total of 3,014,539 rights lapsed and these were allocated to the highest bids submitted during the Intermediaries Offer. In total, bids amounted to 10,866,328 shares. Consequently all lapsed rights were successfully taken up and pursuant to Listing Rule 4.15, a premium of US$ 0.1793 per share (after all expenses) will be distributed by the Issuer to each eligible Lapsed Rights Holder.
The 3,014,539 new shares will be admitted to listing on the Official List of the Malta Stock Exchange upon settlement taking place by Thursday 6 December 2007 with trading expected to commence the following day.
The total number of new shares issued pursuant to the Rights Issue amounts to 22,894,699 bringing FIMBank’s total issued share capital to 109,893,273 shares.
