On 30 September, Simonds Farsons Cisk plc published its financial statements for the six months ended 31 July 2009. The results show a significant improvement in the Group’s profitability from €982,000 during the comparative period last year to €1,807,000 for the first half of the current financial year which ends on 31 January 2010. This increase in profitability is mainly due to the improved production efficiencies and cost containment measures implemented which offset the drop in turnover.
The Directors declared an interim dividend of €0.01 per share out of tax exempt profits to shareholders as at close of trading on Tuesday 6 October. The dividend will be subsequently paid on Friday 23 October.
