Simonds Farsons Cisk plc - New Brewhouse

On 25 February, Simonds Farsons Cisk plc announced that its Board of Directors approved an investment of €14 million in a new brewhouse, a quality control laboratory and a water treatment plant. The Directors explained that the new Brewhouse will be fully automated leading to improved product consistency, decreased production costs and sufficient capacity for the foreseeable future.

The Brewhouse project, expected to be completed by 2013, is the third and final phase of the €40 million investment. The first two phases included the construction of a New Soft Drinks Packaging and Distribution Plant and a new Logistics Centre.

The Directors stated that this €40 million investment was undertaken to increase production efficiencies and continue to improve the quality of the Company’s products and services.
