FIMBank plc - Result of Rights Issue

On 25 April, FIMBank plc announced the result of the USD115 million rights issue whereby shareholders were entitled to subscribe to 2 new shares for every 3 shares held at a price of USD0.55 per share. The total amount of subscriptions amounted to USD99.06 million or 180,108,494 shares representing an 85.9% take-up. Excluding the participation of the three major shareholders, namely Burgan Bank S.A.K., United Gulf Holding Company B.S.C. and Tunis International Bank S.A., which in aggregate own 83.71% of FIMBank, shareholders from the general public subscribed for circa USD2.5 million.

The new shares will be admitted to the Official List of the Malta Stock Exchange on Monday 30 April 2018 with trading expected to commence as from Wednesday 2 May.

FIMBank plc will now be seeking to dispose of the lapsed rights amounting to 29,578,934 shares or USD16.29 million through an intermediaries’ offer. Investors can subscribe for shares via financial intermediaries subject to a minimum price of USD0.55 per share, amongst other conditions. The intermediaries’ offer will close on Friday 4 May.
