RS2 plc - Principal Issuing Member Status in Europe

On 20 November 2025, RS2 plc announced that its subsidiary RS2 Financial Services GmbH has become a Principal Issuing Member of Visa and Mastercard in Europe, allowing the company to directly issue Visa and Mastercard cards and to launch and manage payment card programs directly.

RS2 explained that this is a significant milestone as the Group is now positioned to be among a select group of providers in Europe with full issuing capabilities. The new issuing services being offered under the brand name of Beyond by RS2 will include BIN sponsorship, enabling businesses to launch card programs without needing their own license, as well as cobranding solutions that allow organisations, from sports clubs to retailers, to strengthen customer loyalty and brand engagement. Beyond by RS2 also provides flexible card solutions, including debit, credit, prepaid, and corporate cards, available in both physical and digital formats, with support for Apple Pay and Google Pay. In addition, Beyond by RS2 offers comprehensive end-to-end program management, covering all aspects from branded card products to customer support, fraud prevention, and compliance, alongside its regulatory expertise to help businesses launch quickly and securely across the European Union and the European Economic Area.
