Following last week's article detailing the performance of the S&P 500 index in 2025, it is worth devoting time to review the developments across the European equity markers in my last article of the year.

The MSE Equity Price Index fell by 0.41% to 4,135.4 points as the declines in BOV, HSBC, MIDI, MIA, M&Z, PG, Farsons and the ordinary shares of RS2 outweighed the gains in APS, Lombard, Santumas and Trident. Today’s total trading activity amounted to €0.36 million, of which over 70% were across BOV and MIA. Download today’s Equity Market Summary,

The RF MGS Index rose by 0.03% to 899.053 points amid further indications of softer inflation. In this respect, the FAO Food Price Index eased for a second consecutive month as lower cereal, wheat and sugar prices outweighed the record high price of meat. Meanwhile, the private services sector in the euro area contracted at the slowest pace since the outbreak of the Middle East conflict in February as energy prices continue to fall from peak highs.
