Following last week's article detailing the performance of the S&P 500 index in 2025, it is worth devoting time to review the developments across the European equity markers in my last article of the year.

International Hotel Investments plc was the other decliner, slipping 0.8% to €0.625, although on a single trade of 150 shares.

Today, MIA announced that it welcomed 1,204,465 passengers in August, year-on-year growth of 12.3%, on a 12.4% increase in aircraft movements and a 15.2% rise in seat capacity, with the seat load factor at 89.3%.

The RF MGS Index eased by 0.16% to 885.3 points. Euro area sovereign yields were sharply higher, with the German 10-year at 3.42% and the Italian 10-year at 4.26%, up six and eight basis points respectively. Brent crude oil traded above USD100 per barrel, 3.1% higher on the day, after renewed Houthi missile and drone attacks on Saudi oil facilities: Aramco’s 400,000 barrel-per-day refinery at Jazan was struck on Monday for the third time since the summer.
