  • MSE Share Index edges 0.04% higher to close the week at 3,054.292 points as Medserv climbs by 7% to a new 2009 high of €3.745 whilst BOV closes 0.3% lower at €2.99.   • BOV share price declines by 0.3% to close the week at €2.99 on volumes of 6,203 shares. 1,353 shares remain on offer at the closing price.
  • HSBC’s equity remains inactive closing the week down 0.9% at €2.65. Offers of 1,038 shares remain unsatisfied in the market at the closing price whilst 6,000 bids are pitched at €2.62.
  • Mederv’s equity climbs 7% to a new high of €3.745 over 30,000 shares transacted across 4 trades. The Group published its 2009 interim results on Monday revealing that it generated total revenue of €8.2 million representing a 38.2% increase over the turnover in the comparative period last year.   • On Tuesday Corinthia Finance announced a €20 million bond issue at a coupon of 6.25% per annum. Further details available here.
  • Island Hotels Group Holdings plc launched a bond and equity offering as part of its plans to list on the Malta Stock Exchange. The bond offer consists of 10-year paper at a rate of 6.5% per annum while the equity offer amounts to 8,383,300 shares at a price of €1.00 per share. Full details of the offerings available here.
  • Yesterday the European Central Bank left official interest rates unchanged at a record low of 1% as it remains cautious about the strength of the 16-country region’s economic upswing.
