Three equities drag the MSE Equity Price Index lower 

The MSE Equity Price Index fell by 0.32% to 3,736.475 points reflecting the declines in APS, BOV, and M&Z. Meanwhile, four other equities closed unchanged as today’s total trading activity in local equities amounted to €0.14 million. Download today’s Equity Market Summary.

APS Bank plc was today’s most actively traded equities as it eased by 0.9% to the €0.56 level across nine deals amounting to 130,247 shares.

Also in the banking sector, Bank of Valletta plc shed 1.1% to the €1.72 level across four trades totalling 3,933 shares.

M&Z plc dropped by 3.5% to the €0.555 level on a single trade of 2,480 shares.

Malta International Airport plc closed unchanged at the €6.20 level across five deals totalling 7,732 shares.

GO plc (1,000 shares) and Simonds Farsons Cisk plc (400 shares) held the €2.60 and €6.60 levels respectively.

The ordinary shares of RS2 plc closed unchanged at the €0.50 level after recovering from an intraday low of €0.47 (-6.0%) across three trades totalling 1,985 shares. The volume weighted price of the day stood at €0.475 (-4.9%).

The RF MGS Index extended yesterday’s gains as it increased by a further 0.06% to 910.820 points, the highest level in ten sessions. The eurozone yields eased from the highs reached at the start of the year on indications that the trade tariffs to be imposed by the US will be lower than anticipated.
