Notable trading activity across MIDI

The trading value across the shares of MIDI plc accounted for 60% of today’s total value traded in equities as the share price surged by 7.8% to the €0.25 level. A total of 300,000 shares changed hands.
Today’s other positive performer was HSBC Bank Malta plc as the share price advanced by 2.1% to the €1.48 level on volumes totalling 15,870 shares.
Malta International Airport plc traded flat at the €6.00 level across 3,118 shares.
Bank of Valletta plc closed unchanged at the €1.69 level across four deals totalling 4,513 shares.
The RF MGS Index extended last Friday’s gains as it advanced by a further 0.12% to 913.750 points. The German and French business activity datasets showed weakening trends for both eurozone major economies. The September surveys in France signalled a reduction in cost pressures, with input prices rising at the slowest pace in nearly four years. Meanwhile in Germany, analysts are expecting a technical recession as the GDP for the current quarter is expected to decline by 0.2% compared to the previous quarter, which was already 0.1% lower than the quarter before.
