Three equities pull MSE Equity Price Index lower
The MSE Equity Price Index fell by 0.35% to 3,800.975 points as the declines in BOV, MIA, and MaltaPost outweighed the gain Trident. Meanwhile, eight equities closed unchanged as today’s trading activity amounted to €0.25 million. Download today’s Equity Market Summary.
Bank of Valletta plc shed 1.0% to the €1.90 level over four deals amounting to 3,803 shares. Today, BOV announced that it exercised its over-allotment option in full for the offer of €125 million 5% unsecured subordinated bonds 2030-35 S1T1 after the total value of applications exceeded the €125 million level at the closing of the offer period on 25 November. The bank will be announcing the basis of acceptance of the bonds by 5 December 2025.
Malta International Airport plc fell by 0.8% to the €5.85 level across five trades totalling 5,190 shares.
MaltaPost plc declined by 0.5% to the €0.436 level on two deals amounting to 36,890 shares.
On the other hand, Trident Estates plc surged by 2.8% to the €1.09 level over three trades totalling 11,964 shares.
Meanwhile, APS Bank plc traded flat at the €0.525 level as 9,655 shares changed hands. Yesterday, APS published the allocation policy of the recent Rights Issue which raised €45.8 million. The proportionate entitlement subscribed by eligible shareholders together with applications for up to 30,000 excess shares will be satisfied in full. Applications for excess shares higher than 30,000 will be scaled down by 16.53%. The new shares will be admitted to listing on Friday 28 November and trading is expected to commence on Monday 1 December.
Also in the banking sector, HSBC Bank Malta plc closed unchanged at the €1.42 level across twelve trades totalling 68,162 shares.
Lombard Bank Malta plc closed unchanged at the €0.67 level over three deals amounting to 2,800 shares.
FIMBank plc remained at the USD0.18 level on a single trade of 23,403 shares.
A single deal of 900 shares left the share price of GO plc unchanged at the €2.56 level.
Computime Holdings plc traded flat at the €0.45 level across seven deals totalling 87,969 shares.
Quinco Holdings plc closed unchanged at the €1.15 level over twelve trades totalling 30,321 shares after recovering from an intraday low of €1.00 (-15%).
Malta Properties Company plc held the €0.328 level on one deal of 10,000 shares.
Yesterday evening, PG plc resolved to distribute a net interim dividend of €0.025463 per share, unchanged when compared to the corresponding interim dividend paid out for the first half of the 2024/25 financial year. The interim dividend is payable on Friday 5 December 2025 to all shareholders as at close of trading on Wednesday 26 November 2025.
The RF MGS Index fell by 0.13% to a fresh two-month low of 908.007, extending losses for the third consecutive session. Meanwhile, sovereign bond yields in the euro area remained relatively unchanged during the past week. As a result, the MGS 10-year yield spread over the corresponding German bund widened to 90 basis points compared to 70 basis points last week, driven by the drop in MGS bid prices. Elsewhere in the US, weekly jobless claims last week amounted to 216,000 last week, which was the lowest level in over nine months and below expectations. Moreover, mortgage rates in the US increased for the fourth consecutive week reaching 6.40% which is the highest level since mid-October.
