GO plc - Vodafone & Wind bid for Forthnet

On 17 July, GO plc replicated an announcement made by Forthnet S.A. notifying the market that Vodafone Group Services Ltd (on behalf of its affiliate) and Wind Hellas Telecommunications S.A. submitted a joint non-binding indicative proposal to the Board of Directors of Forthnet, for the possible acquisition of all the shares of Forthnet which are not owned by them. Wind and Vodafone currently hold 39.50% while Forgendo (jointly owned by GO and Emirates International Telecommunications) is the largest shareholder with a stake of 44.96%. The announcement indicated an offer price in the range of €1.70 and €1.90 per share.

The announcement also noted that there were no significant developments to the offer received from OTE for the acquisition of the NOVA Pay-TV business of Forthnet.
