MaltaPost plc - ‘COVID-19’ Market Update

On 13 April 2020, MaltaPost plc issued an announcement explaining that it is consistently monitoring developments resulting from the impact of the ‘COVID-19’ pandemic whilst also adhering to its contingency plans within its overall risk assessment policies. Although to date all the services normally provided by MaltaPost and its national network of offices remain fully functional, some delays and reduction in business are inevitable. Furthermore, MaltaPost relies on foreign postal operators and international flight connections for the transport of mail which are currently limited.

The company concluded by saying that while the full financial impact is difficult to foresee, it maintains adequate financial fundamentals, a competent and devoted human resource base as well as technical means to enable it to meet with confidence the challenges ahead. MaltaPost will continue to keep the market informed of important developments as they unfold.
